The nearest Railway Station is Raynes Park, where frequent fast trains leave for London’s Waterloo station, or change at Wimbledon just down the line for the underground network.
It takes about 15 or 20 minutes to walk to Raynes Park shopping centre and railway station, or there is a bus route near the house which connects with the railway at Raynes Park, or a slightly longer journey to Wimbledon where the underground network is also accessible.
Travel cards can be purchased locally making travel on the capital’s buses, underground and railway networks easy. The journey to central London giving access to the entire capital with its shops, theatres, cinemas, restaurants and sightseeing opportunities takes about 20 minutes.

Hampton Court Palace, Richmond Park, Kew Gardens, Chessington World of Adventure and Wimbledon with its shops, village, common, windmill, Tennis courts and museum are close by. Raynes Park is on the borders of outer London and Surrey with its beautiful countryside. The easily accessed motorway routes open the opportunities of sightseeing further. Windsor Castle, Thorpe Park (a theme park, a delight for the young) and Brighton all offer a day’s outing. The Channel Tunnel is an hour and a half away by motorway, so a visit to France can make a pleasant day out.
